May 10, 2025: Grosse Pointe, MI 48236 The Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils triumphed over the visiting Melvindale Cardinals softball squad by a count of 9-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Blue Devils meet the Marine City Mariners (Marine City, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 12. Grosse Pointe South will attempt to upgrade on its 19-5 season record. The Mariners enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 15-1 non-league win over New Haven (New Haven, MI).
The Cardinals (12-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Romulus (Romulus, MI). The Eagles enter the Western Wayne challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Romulus was routed by Crestwood (Dearborn Heights, MI), 17-14, in a league challenge.
