Illinois High School Softball - Homewood-Flossmoor nudges Kankakee
May 11, 2021: Flossmoor, IL 60422 Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL), 2-1 in a league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Sandburg for a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Monday, May 17. Homewood-Flossmoor will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 5-13.
With the loss, Kankakee falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Kays travel to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL) to battle the Blazing Trojan in a Southland Athletic challenge on Wednesday, May 12. The Blazing Trojan enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Bloom won 15-1 in their recent league challenge against Thornton (Harvey, IL)
