The Strongsville Mustangs (Strongsville, OH) softball nipped the host Highland Hornets (Medina, OH), 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs (11-12) will now prepare for their bout against Revere (Richfield, OH). The Minutemen go into the non-league bout with a 8-8 record.

The Hornets now possess a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Cuyahoga Falls for a Suburban - American bout on Thursday, May 12. Highland will confront a Black Tigers squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Black Tigers record now stands at 4-16.
