Champion Golden Flashes (Warren, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Berkshire Badgers (Burton, OH), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Flashes now own a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they host Crestview for a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Grey challenge on Friday, May 12. Champion will face a Rebels squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to South Range (Canfield, OH). The Rebels record now stands at 8-13.

With the loss, Berkshire falls to 7-17 on the campaign. The Badgers host Lakeside (Ashtabula, OH) to face the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 3-19. Lakeside lost 22-5 in their recent non-league match against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH)
