New York High School Softball - Rondout Valley bounces Highland
May 11, 2023: Accord, NY 12404 Rondout Valley Ganders (Accord, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Highland Huskies (Highland, NY), 6-1 in a league challenge.
The Ganders now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newburgh Free Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. Rondout Valley will battle a Goldbacks squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY). The Goldbacks record now stands at 7-9.
With the loss, Highland falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to O'Neill (Highland Falls, NY) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. O'Neill lost 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY)
