Ohio High School Softball - Clay holds off Whitmer
May 11, 2024: Oregon, OH 43616 Clay Eagles (Oregon, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Whitmer Panthers (Toledo, OH), 10-8 in a league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sandusky for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. Clay will battle a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Start (Toledo, OH). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 4-12.
With the loss, Whitmer falls to 16-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH) to clash with the Generals in a Northern Lakes game on Monday, May 13. The Generals come into the game with a record of 21-1. Anthony Wayne won 10-1 in their recent league game against Northview (Sylvania, OH)
