May 12, 2022: Fitchburg, MA 01420 Doherty Memorial Highlanders (Worcester, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Fitchburg Red Raiders (Fitchburg, MA), 6-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Doherty Memorial upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Highlanders host Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA) to battle the Rams in a non-league test on Monday, May 16. The Rams come into the test with a record of 1-10. Shepherd Hill Regional lost 12-4 in their recent non-league test against Algonquin Regional (Northborough, MA)
With the defeat, Fitchburg falls to 6-9 on the season. The Red raiders travel to North Middlesex Regional (Townsend, MA) to battle the Patriots in a Midland-Wachusett A test on Friday, May 13. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 7-7. North Middlesex Regional won 12-2 in their recent non-league test against Marlborough (Marlborough, MA)
