May 12, 2023: Dakota, IL 61018 The Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) softball nipped the host Dakota Indians (Dakota, IL), 1-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Fighting Irish (22-6) will now prepare for their bout against Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 20-5 record. In their last bout, Hononegah held off Jefferson (Rockford, IL), 13-0, in a league bout.
The Indians now possess a 15-8 record. They play next when they host Manteno for a non-league bout on Saturday, May 13. Dakota will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 19-8.
