New Jersey High School Baseball - Liberty defeats Matawan Regional
May 12, 2025: Jackson, NJ 08527 In Monday's non-league game, the host Liberty Lions baseball team scored a close 8-3 win over the Matawan Regional Huskies.
The Lions (7-11) will now prepare for their game against Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 12-6 record. In their last game, Manasquan was overwhelmed by Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ), 3-2, in a league game.
Next, the Huskies play the Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 13. Matawan Regional will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Hornets go into the game with a 14-6 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor, NJ).
