The Stoneham Spartans (Stoneham, MA) baseball trounced the host Medford Mustangs (Medford, MA), 7-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Watertown for a Middlesex - Freedom challenge on Tuesday, May 13. Stoneham will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 4-3 league win over Wilmington (Wilmington, MA). The Raiders record now stands at 6-10.

With the defeat, Medford drops to 8-6 on the year. The Mustangs host Malden (Malden, MA) to clash with the Golden Tornados in a Greater Boston challenge on Wednesday, May 14. The Golden Tornados go into the challenge with a record of 12-2.
