New Jersey High School Lacrosse - Westwood drops to Verona
May 12, 2025: Verona, NJ 07043 Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) backers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team overcome the visiting Westwood Cardinals (Washington Township, NJ), 12-5 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Verona improves its record to 11-2 on the season. The Hillbillies host Columbia (Maplewood, NJ) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 14. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 6-7. Columbia won 13-12 in their recent non-league game against Livingston (Livingston, NJ)
The Cardinals now have a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glen Rock for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 14. Westwood will play a Panthers team coming off a 11-8 non-league loss to Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 8-5.
