The Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL) lacrosse nudged the visiting Neuqua Valley Wildcats (Naperville, IL), 8-7 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Mustangs now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lyons for a West Suburban outing on Tuesday, May 13. Downers Grove South will face a Lions squad coming off a 12-6 non-league win over Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL). The Lions record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Neuqua Valley falls to 9-6 on the year. The Wildcats host Washington (Washington, IL) to face the Panthers in a non-league outing on Wednesday, May 14.
