The Lanphier Lions baseball squad (Springfield, IL), was edged 6-5 in Tuesday's league contest with the host MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL)

With the triumph, MacArthur moves its record to 9-16 on the season. The Generals host Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL) to confront the Trojans in a non-league contest on Thursday, May 14. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 17-7.

The Lions now possess a 1-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host East St. Louis for a non-league contest on Saturday, May 16. Lanphier will confront a Flyers squad coming off a 28-3 non-league win over Manual (Peoria, IL). The Flyers record now stands at 6-13.
