Connecticut High School Softball - Darien bounces New Canaan
May 12, 2021: Darien, CT 06820 Darien Blue Wave (Darien, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT), 8-1 in a league challenge.
The Blue Wave now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stamford for a Fairfield County challenge on Monday, May 17. Darien will battle a Black Knights squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT). The Black Knights record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, New Canaan falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Wilton (Wilton, CT) to battle the Warriors in a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, May 14. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 3-10. Wilton lost 7-2 in their recent league challenge against Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT)
