Illinois High School Baseball - Sycamore prevails Normal West
May 13, 2022: Sycamore, IL 60178 Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL), 10-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sycamore upgrades its record to 20-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Hampshire (Hampshire, IL) to battle the Whip-Purs in a non-league test on Saturday, May 14. The Whip-Purs come into the test with a record of 12-15. Hampshire lost 4-3 in their recent league test against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL)
With the defeat, Normal West falls to 16-13 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL) to clash with the Knights in a non-league game on Saturday, May 14. The Knights go into the game with a record of 16-7. Kaneland won 18-0 in their recent non-league game against St. Edward (Elgin, IL)
