Ohio High School Softball - Rootstown bounces Chippewa
May 13, 2022: Rootstown, OH 44272 Rootstown Rovers (Rootstown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chippewa Chipps (Doylestown, OH), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Rovers now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton Falls for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 17. Rootstown will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Berkshire (Burton, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 13-4.
With the loss, Chippewa falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Chipps travel to Tuslaw (Massillon, OH) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 17. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 10-5.
