Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lavaca Golden Arrows (Lavaca, AR), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Poinsett County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 14. Quitman will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Fordyce (Fordyce, AR). The Warriors record now stands at 26-2.

With the loss, Lavaca falls to 19-9 on the campaign.
