Illinois High School Softball - Normal University bounces Lexington
May 13, 2022: Lexington, IL 61753 Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Pioneers now own a 17-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dunlap for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 14. Normal University will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 9-18.
With the loss, Lexington falls to 16-6 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to LeRoy (LeRoy, IL) to face the Panthers in a Heart of Illinois challenge on Saturday, May 14. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 26-5. LeRoy won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL)
