Maine High School Softball - South Portland bounces Marshwood
May 13, 2022: South Berwick, ME 03908 South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Marshwood Hawks (South Berwick, ME), 5-0 in a league challenge.
The Red Riots now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Portland for a Class A South challenge on Monday, May 16. South Portland will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-3 league win over Massabesic (Waterboro, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Marshwood falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Windham (Windham, ME) to battle the Eagles in a Class A South challenge on Monday, May 16. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Windham won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Falmouth (Falmouth, ME)
