The Sandburg Eagles the visiting Mother McAuley Mighty Macs softball squad by a count of 7-5 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Eagles (6-15) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL). The Griffins go into the SouthWest Suburban battle with a 18-2 record. In their last battle, Lincoln-Way East nudged Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
