Illinois High School Softball - Lyons bounces Berwyn/Cicero Morton
May 13, 2023: LaGrange, IL 60525 The Lyons Lions routed the visiting Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Lions (6-17) will now prepare for their battle against York (Elmhurst, IL). The Dukes go into the West Suburban - Silver battle with a 14-12 record. In their last battle, York nudged Maine South (Park Ridge, IL), 13-5, in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now sport a 6-15 record. They play next when they host Downers Grove South for a West Suburban - Gold battle on Monday, May 15. Berwyn/Cicero Morton will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-8.
