Central Noble Cougars (Albion, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tippecanoe Valley Vikings (Akron, IN), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Garrett for a Northeast Corner challenge on Monday, May 15. Central Noble will battle a Railroaders squad coming off a 11-6 league loss to Fremont (Fremont, IN). The Railroaders record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Tippecanoe Valley falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Jimtown (Elkhart, IN) to battle the Jimmies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. The Jimmies enter the challenge with a record of 11-7. Jimtown lost 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against La Porte (La Porte, IN)
