May 13, 2024: Swampscott, MA 01907 Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Stoneham Spartans (Stoneham, MA), 6-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, Swampscott upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Big Blue host Saugus (Saugus, MA) to battle the Sachems in a non-league test on Friday, May 17. The Sachems come into the test with a record of 8-7.
With the defeat, Stoneham falls to 4-8 on the season. The Spartans travel to Melrose (Melrose, MA) to battle the Red Raiders in a Middlesex - Freedom test on Tuesday, May 14. The Red Raiders come into the test with a record of 4-9.
