New York High School Softball - Alden bounces Akron
May 13, 2024: Akron, NY 14001 The Alden Bulldogs routed the host Akron Tigers softball squad by a final score of 15-7 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Bulldogs (11-6) will now prepare for their battle against Cleveland Hill (Cheektowaga, NY). The Golden Eagles go into the Section 6 Erie County IV battle with a 0-8 record. In their last battle, Cleveland Hill was routed by East Aurora (East Aurora, NY), 12-0, in a non-league battle.
The Tigers now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Royalton-Hartland for a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans battle on Tuesday, May 14. Akron will meet a Rams squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to Barker (Barker, NY). The Rams record now stands at 4-4.
