May 13, 2025: Wayne City, IL 62895 The Cisne Runnin' Lions baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Wayne City Indians to 5 in the Runnin' Lions league win on Tuesday.
The Runnin' Lions now hold a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they host Edwards County for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 14. Cisne will play a Lions team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Newton (Newton, IL). The Lions record now stands at 15-4.
With the defeat, Wayne City drops to 5-11 on the year. The Indians host Waltonville (Waltonville, IL) to play the Spartans in a Midland Trail test on Thursday, May 15. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 13-5. Waltonville won 12-0 in their recent league test against Webber (Bluford, IL)
