In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Rochelle Hubs softball team scored a tight 8-7 win over the Forreston Cardinals.

The Hubs (7-18) will now prepare for their match against Ottawa (Ottawa, IL). The Pirates come into the Interstate Eight match with a 14-10 record. In their last match, Ottawa was nipped by Sycamore (Sycamore, IL), 1-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 16. Forreston will attempt to better on its 3-26 season record.
