The Steinert Spartans baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Montgomery Cougars to 5 in the Spartans non-league win on Wednesday.
The Spartans now own a 11-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Allentown for a CVC - Colonial test on Friday, May 15. Steinert will clash with a Redbirds team coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Bordentown (Bordentown, NJ). The Redbirds record now stands at 15-9.
With the defeat, Montgomery drops to 10-16 on the year. The Cougars travel to Immaculata (Somerville, NJ) to clash with the Spartans in a Skyland - Raritan test on Thursday, May 14. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 19-5. Immaculata won 17-3 in their recent non-league test against DePaul Catholic (Wayne, NJ)
