May 14, 2022: Mattoon, IL 61938 Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Mattoon Green Wave (Mattoon, IL), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Belleville East upgrades its record to 24-6 on the season. The Lancers travel to Belleville West (Belleville, IL) to battle the Maroons in a Southwestern test on Tuesday, May 17. The Maroons come into the test with a record of 7-12. Belleville West won 3-0 in their recent league test against Alton (Alton, IL)
