Illinois High School Softball - Herrin bounces Cobden
May 14, 2022: Herrin, IL 62948 Herrin Tigers (Herrin, IL) fans exited the stadium satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their softball squad tip the visiting Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL), 6-0 in a non-league match.
The Tigers now sport a 8-21 record. They play next when they travel to Carterville for a non-league match on Saturday, May 14. Herrin will meet a Lions squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Marion (Marion, IL). The Lions record now stands at 28-2.
With the loss, Cobden moves to 7-11 on the season. The Appleknockers travel to Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL) to meet the Tornadoes in a non-league match on Saturday, May 14. The Tornadoes go into the match with a record of 14-5. Zeigler-Royalton lost 3-2 in their recent league match against Johnston City (Johnston City, IL)
