May 14, 2024: Grand Island, NY 14072 The Grand Island Vikings softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Depew Wildcats to 4 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Grand Island moves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Vikings host Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY) to play the Flyers in a non-league game on Friday, May 17. The Flyers come into the game with a record of 2-9. Maryvale lost 12-0 in their recent league game against Lake Shore (Angola, NY)
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Williamsville East Flames (East Amherst, NY) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 16. Depew will attempt to move on its 11-7 season record.
