The Winthrop Ramblers baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Maine Central Institute Huskies to 0 in the Ramblers non-league win on Wednesday.

The Ramblers now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monmouth Academy for a Class C South test on Saturday, May 17. Winthrop will play a Mustangs team coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-3.

With the defeat, Maine Central Institute drops to 1-7 on the year. The Huskies travel to Central (East Corinth, ME) to play the Red Devils in a Class C North test on Monday, May 19. The Red Devils go into the test with a record of 1-7. Central lost 11-5 in their recent league test against George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME)
