Virginia High School Softball - Western Branch bounces Lakeland
May 15, 2024: Chesapeake, VA 23321 The Western Branch Bruins routed the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Bruins (14-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Southeastern battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Lakeland topped King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 11-3, in a league battle.
The Cavaliers now sport a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Branch for a Southeastern outing on Wednesday, May 15. Lakeland will encounter a Bruins team coming off a 8-1 league win over Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 12-5.
