Calvary Baptist Christian Academy Chargers (Meadville, PA) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Delaware County Christian Knights (Newtown Square, PA), 6-5 in a league match.

With the triumph, Calvary Baptist Christian Academy advances its record to 1-0 on the season.

The Knights now have a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marple Newtown for a non-league match on Friday, May 16. Delaware County Christian will battle a Fightin' Tigers squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, PA). The Fightin' Tigers record now stands at 4-8.
