The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY) and the host New Paltz Huguenots (New Paltz, NY), saw Goshen Central's baseball team get by New Paltz by a tally of 2-1.

The Gladiators (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Monticello (Monticello, NY). The Panthers enter the Section 9 Orange County II battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Monticello was tipped by Warwick (Warwick, NY), 17-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Huguenots face the Red Hook Raiders (Red Hook, NY) in a Section 9 Mid Hudson I battle, on Friday, May 16. New Paltz will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 8-7 record after their 5-3 league win over Wallkill (Wallkill, NY).
