The North Putnam Cougars baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Riverton Parke Panthers to 3 in the Cougars non-league win on Thursday.

The Cougars now own a 9-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western for a non-league test on Saturday, May 17. North Putnam will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Lafayette Jefferson (Lafayette, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 19-3.

With the defeat, Riverton Parke drops to 11-8 on the year. The Panthers host Attica (Attica, IN) to clash with the Red Ramblers in a Wabash River test on Saturday, May 17. The Red Ramblers go into the test with a record of 4-13. Attica lost 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL)
