In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Platt Panthers baseball team scored a close 6-2 victory over the Shepaug Valley Spartans.

The Panthers (14-5) will now prepare for their game against Windsor (Windsor, CT). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 12-3 record. In their last game, Windsor held off Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT), 10-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Spartans face the Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) in a Berkshire game, on Friday, May 16. Shepaug Valley will attempt to improve on its 14-3 season record. The Chiefs enter the game with a 12-5 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Seymour (Seymour, CT).
