The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Big Walnut Golden Eagles (Sunbury, OH) and the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, OH), observed Big Walnut's softball team get by Lexington by a tally of 2-1.

The Golden Eagles (13-12) will now prepare for their bout against Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 9-15 record. In their last bout, Canal Winchester was nipped by Bishop Hartley (Columbus, OH), 15-14, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Minutemen battle the Mansfield Senior Tygers (Mansfield, OH) in a Ohio Cardinal bout, on Friday, May 16. Lexington will attempt to advance on its 20-3 season record. The Tygers go into the bout with a 0-12 record after their 18-0 league loss to Wooster (Wooster, OH).
