Rio Hondo Prep Kares (Arcadia, CA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Southlands Christian Eagles (Rowland Heights, CA), 8-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Rio Hondo Prep improves its record to 17-5 on the year. The Kares travel to St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA) to play the Mariners in a non-league game on Saturday, May 17. The Mariners enter the game with a record of 11-10. St. Monica won 10-8 in their recent non-league game against Knight (Palmdale, CA)
