The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) and the visiting Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH), saw Boardman's baseball team gain a win over Springfield by a tally of 14-3.

The Spartans (9-11) will now prepare for their battle against Louisville (Louisville, OH). The Leopards enter the non-league battle with a 13-8 record. In their last battle, Louisville prevailed over St. Edward (Lakewood, OH), 5-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Tigers face the McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH) in a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet battle, on Monday, May 18. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record.
