Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Masuk Panthers (Monroe, CT), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Newtown upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Nighthawks host Bethel (Bethel, CT) to battle the Wildcats in a Southwest - Colonial test on Wednesday, May 17. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 10-9. Bethel won 7-3 in their recent non-league test against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT)

With the defeat, Masuk falls to 8-12 on the season.
