Michigan High School Baseball - Canton nips Seaholm/Groves
May 16, 2024: Canton, MI 48187 Canton Chiefs (Canton, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Seaholm/Groves Maples (Birmingham, MI), 11-10 in a non-league test.
With the win, Canton upgrades its record to 15-10 on the season. The Chiefs host Roosevelt (Wyandotte, MI) to battle the Bears in a non-league test on Saturday, May 18. The Bears come into the test with a record of 11-16. Roosevelt won 5-0 in their recent league test against Taylor (Taylor, MI)
With the defeat, Seaholm/Groves falls to 16-9 on the season. The Maples host Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI) to battle the Falcons in a non-league test on Saturday, May 18. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 11-9.
