New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN), 7-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, New Castle advances its record to 6-16 on the season. The Trojans host New Palestine (New Palestine, IN) to battle the Dragons in a Hoosier Heritage match on Tuesday, May 20. The Dragons come into the match with a record of 17-3.

The Spartans now have a 11-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greensburg for a Eastern Indiana match on Monday, May 19. Connersville will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to East Central (St. Leon, IN). The Pirates record now stands at 13-4.
