Ohio High School Baseball - Wellston loses to Paint Valley
May 16, 2025: Bainbridge, OH 45612 Paint Valley Bearcats (Bainbridge, OH) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH), 5-0 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Paint Valley advances its record to 4-15 on the season. The Bearcats travel to St. Joseph Central (Ironton, OH) to battle the Flyers in a non-league match on Monday, May 19. The Flyers come into the match with a record of 7-7. St. Joseph Central lost 6-5 in their recent non-league match against Southeastern (Chillicothe, OH)
The Golden Rockets now have a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nelsonville-York for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 20. Wellston will battle a Buckeyes squad coming off a 10-4 league loss to Athens (The Plains, OH). The Buckeyes record now stands at 4-14.
