Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Cyclones now own a 16-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greeneville for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 19. Elizabethton will battle a Green Devils squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Unicoi County (Erwin, TN). The Green Devils record now stands at 17-7.

With the loss, Claiborne falls to 17-17 on the campaign.
