In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) baseball squad the visiting Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), by a final score of 4-2.

With the win, East Lincoln upgrades its record to 19-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 20. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 23-6. St. Stephens won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Ledford (Thomasville, NC)

With the defeat, Carson falls to 18-11 on the season.
