The Western Wayne Wildcats baseball team (Lake Ariel, PA), was overwhelmed 7-1 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the host Hanover Area Hawkeyes (Hanover Township, PA)

The Hawkeyes now hold a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greater Nanticoke Area for a Wyoming Valley 2 outing on Wednesday, May 18. Hanover Area will confront a Trojans team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 8-8.

Next, the Wildcats confront the Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 outing, on Thursday, May 19. Western Wayne will attempt to advance on its 4-13 season record. The Crusaders go into the outing with a 7-8 record after their 4-0 league win over Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA).
