Maine High School Softball - Wells topped by Lake Region
May 17, 2023: Wells, ME 04090 The Lake Region Lakers softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Wells Warriors to 5 in the Lakers league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Lake Region moves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Lakers travel to York (York, ME) to clash with the Wildcats in a Class B South game on Friday, May 19. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 11-1. York won 22-2 in their recent non-league game against Traip (Kittery, ME)
In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME) in a Class B South game, on Friday, May 19. Wells will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 2-10 record after their 20-13 league loss to Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME).
