In Saturday's non-league game, the host Cascade Cadets baseball team scored a close 5-1 win over the Decatur Central Hawks.

The Cadets (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mooresville (Mooresville, IN). The Pioneers come into the non-league contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Mooresville was overwhelmed by Carmel (Carmel, IN), 9-0, in a non-league contest.

The Hawks now possess a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin Community for a Mid-State contest on Tuesday, May 20. Decatur Central will confront a Grizzly Cubs squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Center Grove (Greenwood, IN). The Grizzly Cubs record now stands at 15-7.
