The Jay County Patriots softball team scored 23 runs and held the host Cowan Blackhawks to 4 in the Patriots non-league win on Saturday.

The Patriots now possess a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison-Grant for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 17. Jay County will confront a Argylls team coming off a 10-2 league win over Elwood (Elwood, IN). The Argylls record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Cowan moves to 6-14 on the season. The Blackhawks host Daleville (Daleville, IN) to confront the Broncos in a Mid-Eastern battle on Tuesday, May 20.
