In Saturday's non-league test, the Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) softball squad got by the visiting Manchester Squires (North Manchester, IN), by a tally of 4-3.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Warsaw Tigers (Warsaw, IN) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 17. Homestead will attempt to advance on its 19-5 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 7-11 record after their 15-1 league loss to NorthWood (Nappanee, IN).

The Squires (12-12) will now prepare for their test against Triton (Bourbon, IN). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 1-19 record. In their last test, Triton was nudged by Caston (Fulton, IN), 12-0, in a league test.
